POSITION SUMMARY

This is a key hire as we build out our game design team. The team works with internal and external stakeholders to drive great game designs from ideation through publication to live ops and ongoing creative iteration. The role requires intense creative collaboration, open mindedness, self-motivation, and artistic fearlessness.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Conceptualizing innovative new game designs for titles powered by GPN’s patented real money gaming platform
  • Brainstorming with the Game Lab team to develop new game concepts and improve existing titles • Designing new game mechanics for both existing and new titles
  • Creating new content across a wide variety of game genres, from casino to arcade, sports, rhythm, puzzle, racing, fighting, and more
  • Crafting gameplay experiences targeted at platforms ranging from online and mobile web to iOS, Android, AR/VR, and physical installations
  • Working with the art team to create vivid game design documentation
  • Pitching designs to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Drafting detailed game design specifications to align and focus production teams
  • Reviewing existing games to drive creative iteration and improvement
  • Writing detailed analyses of internal and competitive titles
  • Analyzing game KPIs and iterating designs based on data
  • Always learning and always playing to be fluent in the latest game design trends, tactics, challenges, and opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of game design experience
  • Track record of published online and mobile games
  • History of working effectively with multi-disciplinary creative and production teams including artists, developers, mathematicians, producers, and QA
  • Portfolio of game design documentation
  • Extensive experience with game analytics and data-driven design
  • Expansive knowledge of the game industry and current market landscape
  • Experience working with outsourced game development
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Excel, Google Workspace, and other common tools

Must have a passion for games and the experience of play. Knowledge and experience with various game development pipelines & methodologies. Knowledge of slot games and online casino games. Has a strong understanding of game design.
